THE IGNIS FRAMEWORK®
Stop Searching Outside Yourself for Your Purpose.
Your purpose has already been leaving evidence—in how you are wired, what has shaped you, the people you feel drawn toward, and the impact you cannot stop caring about.
The IGNIS Framework® helps you uncover that evidence, give it language, and begin living your purpose with greater clarity, courage, and intention.
You are not starting from scratch. You are starting from evidence.

The Problem
You did what you were supposed to do.
You built the career.
Made the moves.
Checked the boxes.
Kept going.
And still, something feels unclear.
Maybe a role ended and took part of your identity with it.
Maybe you have several gifts and cannot understand how they fit together.
Maybe you are successful on paper but feel disconnected from what all of it is for.
Maybe you believe God created you for a reason, but you do not yet have language for what that reason looks like in your actual life.
You may not be lost.
You may simply be trying to find your purpose in the wrong place.

The Reframe
Purpose Is Not Something You Manufacture.
Most purpose advice sends you searching outward:
For the right job.
The right title.
The right opportunity.
The right answer.
The moment when everything finally makes sense.
The IGNIS Framework® introduces a different truth:
Purpose leaves evidence.
In your wiring.
In your story.
In the people and needs that consistently move you.
In the impact that seems to follow you from assignment to assignment.
Your purpose may be closer than you think.
You may not need to create it.
You may need to recognize what has already been there.

Purpose Leaves Evidence
Where Has Your Purpose Already Been Showing Up?
If purpose were hidden completely, only a few lucky people would ever discover it.
But purpose leaves clues.
It appears in:
what comes naturally to you;
what brings you alive;
what others consistently seek from you;
what you understand because you have lived it;
what breaks your heart;
what you feel drawn to build, protect, change, restore, or create;
who becomes more seen, brave, clear, connected, or whole because you showed up.
The question is not only:
> What is my purpose?
It is also:
> Where has my purpose already been showing up?
The IGNIS Framework® helps you gather that evidence, recognize the patterns, and give them language.

How the IGNIS Framework® Works
IGNIS means fire.
Your IGNIS is your unique purpose—the enduring contribution you were created to make through how you are wired, what has shaped you, and the people and impact your life is drawn toward.
The IGNIS framework® helps you examine four sources of purpose evidence.
Spark — The Truth You Choose to Believe
Spark is the foundational truth that your life has meaning and that you are here for a reason.
You do not need perfect certainty to begin.
Spark starts with permission: permission to believe that your existence is intentional, your life matters, and there is something worth uncovering.
Fuel — How You Are Wired
Fuel is how you are wired—the gifts, strengths, talents, qualities, spiritual gifts, instincts, quirks, and ways of being through which your purpose naturally moves.
Fuel is more than what appears on your résumé.
It includes what energizes you, what others consistently experience in you, and what follows you across different roles and seasons.
Kindling — What Has Shaped You
Kindling is what has shaped you—the experiences, relationships, joys, wounds, wins, losses, detours, decisions, and moments of formation that give your purpose context, compassion, and depth.
Kindling includes what delighted, affirmed, and expanded you—not only what hurt.
Nothing is wasted does not mean everything that happened was deserved, divinely caused, or good. It means healing, wisdom, meaning, and service may still emerge from what occurred.
Flame — Who You Light Up
Flame is where your purpose meets people. It's the particular people or communities your fire is drawn to reach.
It asks:
Who am I drawn, shaped, and equipped to serve?
Your contribution might create change, possibility, or impact in their lives, but Flame is what gives your fire direction by helping you figure out who.
When Spark, Fuel, Kindling, and Flame come together, they help reveal the evidence of your IGNIS.
Find. Name. Live. Your Purpose.

THE IGNIS FRAMEWORK® -- FIND, NAME, LIVE YOUR PURPOSE
The IGNIS Framework®: A New Way to Think About Purpose
Most people believe purpose is something to find—often tied to a job, title, or future clarity.
The IGNIS Framework® reframes purpose as something already taking shape in your life—through your strengths, your experiences, and the impact you’re naturally drawn to create.
It’s not about starting from scratch.
It’s about recognizing the evidence that is already there.

Your Purpose Is Bigger Than Any One Assignment
A lot of us learn to confuse purpose with the role we are currently holding.
The job.
The title.
The business.
Motherhood.
Marriage.
Leadership.
Caregiving.
Ministry.
The thing we are building.
Those roles can matter deeply.
Some may shape decades of your life.
But they are still not the whole fire.
Your purpose is the enduring contribution you were created to make.
Your assignments are the roles, relationships, responsibilities, environments, opportunities, and seasons through which that purpose gets expressed.
A career can be an assignment.
Parenthood can be an assignment.
Marriage can be an assignment.
Leadership can be an assignment.
A season of caregiving can be an assignment.
A creative project can be an assignment.
Even a conversation can become an assignment.
Some last an afternoon.
Others may shape most of your adult life.
But the length or importance of an assignment does not make it synonymous with your purpose.
Different season. Same fire.
Jobs end.
Titles change.
Children grow.
Relationships evolve.
Responsibilities shift.
Businesses close.
Opportunities open and disappear.
And still, something about the way you contribute may keep traveling with you.
That is the distinction IGNIS helps you uncover.
Your purpose did not begin when you found the right job.
And it does not disappear when an assignment changes.
Chances are, you have been living pieces of it all along.
IGNIS helps you recognize the evidence, give the fire language, and live it with greater intention.
Your purpose is fixed. Your assignments change.
Different season. Same fire.

So How Do You Find What Stays?
You look for what keeps traveling with you.
IGNIS helps you gather evidence from four places:
Spark: The truth you choose to believe about why your life matters.
Fuel: The gifts, strengths, qualities, and ways of being that naturally move through you.
Kindling: The experiences and stories that shaped what you understand and care about.
Flame: The people or communities your fire recognizes and is drawn toward.
Then you identify your Core Action Verb, the posture that describes how your fire tends to move toward your Flame.

Who This is For
The IGNIS Framework® May Be for You If…
You believe you are here for a reason but struggle to put that reason into words.
You are multipassionate and tired of being told to pick only one thing.
You are navigating a layoff, career pivot, transition, ending, or “what now?” season.
You have gifts, strengths, and experiences that feel important but disconnected.
You have built a successful life that no longer feels completely aligned.
You have done therapy, coaching, prayer, journaling, or other inner work, but purpose still feels fuzzy.
You are a leader who wants your work and life to mean more than achievement.
You want greater clarity without forcing yourself into a narrow title or assignment.
You are not behind.
You may simply need a framework for recognizing what has already been true.

WHY THIS FRAMEWORK EXISTS
People Were Not Lost. They Lacked Language.
The IGNIS Framework® grew through real life.
Through my own seasons of achievement, rejection, leadership, reinvention, faith, and uncertainty.
Through sitting on a hotel-room floor after a layoff and realizing that losing an assignment did not erase my purpose.
Through coaching people who were accomplished, gifted, and deeply thoughtful—but still could not name why they were here.
Again and again, I noticed the same thing:
People were not empty.
They were not starting over.
They were not without purpose.
They lacked language for the evidence already present in their lives.
The IGNIS Framework® gives people a way to gather that evidence, recognize its patterns, and name what has been there all along.

No.
Career may be one assignment through which you express your purpose, but the IGNIS Framework® is not a career assessment.

Your purpose is fixed. Your assignments change.
03
What is the Process?
The IGNIS Framework® helps you Find. Name. Live Your Purpose.
FIND
Gather evidence across four areas:

Kindling — What has shaped you.
Flame — Who your fire recognizes and is drawn toward.
Then identify your Core Action Verb, the way your fire tends to move toward your Flame.
NAME
Recognize the patterns across your evidence and give them language through your IGNIS Thread, purpose-statement builders, and your current clearest purpose statement.
LIVE
Notice where your purpose is already moving through your current assignments and practice expressing it with greater awareness and intention.
04
How long does it take?
There is no required timeline.
You can move through the guide over a few focused days or take several weeks to reflect, notice patterns, and revisit your answers.
The goal is not to finish quickly.
The goal is to pay attention to the evidence.
05
Is the IGNIS Framework® Christian?
The IGNIS Framework® is rooted in my Christian belief that God creates people intentionally, for His glory and the good of others.
Faith is openly present throughout the guide, while readers who use different language for meaning and purpose are welcome to engage in the reflective process without being asked to affirm a belief they do not hold.
06
Will the IGNIS Guide tell me exactly what my purpose is?
No, and that is intentional.
IGNIS does not assign you a purpose or manufacture one perfect answer.
It helps you gather evidence from your actual life, recognize recurring patterns, develop clearer language, and name your current clearest understanding of the enduring contribution you were created to make.
You are not starting from scratch.
You are starting from evidence.
07
What happens if my purpose statement changes?
Your purpose can remain steady while your understanding and language deepen.
Changing a word, refining who you feel drawn toward, or developing clearer language does not automatically mean your purpose changed or that you got it wrong.
You may simply have more evidence now.
Different season. Same fire.
08
Do I need to answer every question?
No.
The questions are invitations, not a test.
Choose the prompts that create recognition, emotion, curiosity, resistance, or resonance.
Pause when you need to.
Skip what does not serve you.
Return when something new becomes clear.
09
Where can I get the IGNIS Framework® Purpose Discovery Companion?
The IGNIS Framework® Purpose Discovery Companion is available complimentary through the IGNIS Reader Hub.
It is designed to accompany the Kindle guide and gives you additional space and tools to work through what you uncover.
10
Where can I buy the Digital Guide?
Find Your Purpose with the IGNIS Framework is available on Amazon Kindle.
11
What do I do after I name my purpose statement?
Begin living it.
You do not need to overhaul your life overnight.
Ask:
What would living my purpose one percent more intentionally look like today?
You can also submit your current clearest purpose statement to the Full Out Purpose Movement, where I am working toward helping 1,000 people find, name, and begin living their purpose.
You choose whether your statement stays private or may be shared.
12
Can I use the IGNIS Framework® with my team, church, clients, or organization?
The guide and companion are licensed for individual, noncommercial use.
Teaching, facilitating, reproducing, or incorporating the IGNIS Framework® into a coaching practice, workshop, course, church, team, community, or organization requires written authorization.
